We are committed to providing all Marymount students access to an on campus, hybrid, or remote educational experience that thoroughly reflects Marymount’s mission, educational philosophy, and core values. We acknowledge the need for authentic connection through technology with the understanding that an appropriate amount of digital use is different across grade levels.
Marymount|MVP remains committed to continuing the equitable delivery of the highest quality academic and enrichment programming for students, may it be on campus, in a hybrid, or remote environment, in this unexpected and unprecedented time.
Marymount|MVP will prioritize the equity of mental health and wellness of all our faculty, students, and families as our most important consideration in the design and implementation of academic and enrichment programming.
Marymount|MVP continues to be aligned with the CAIS|NAIS recommendations and accreditation guidelines for best practices for independent schools across the nation.
Marymount|MVP is committed to providing flexibility and support to families who are experiencing extreme hardship due to the economic impact of the COVID-19 pandemic.
Marymount|MVP continues to pay all faculty, administration, and staff their regular and expected annual salaries and benefits, while many of our faculty and staff are also managing their own families at home and maintaining their regular daily work and extra preparation for possible transitions between on campus, hybrid, and remote learning.
Marymount|MVP adheres to all policies, procedures, and expectations for a healthy and well-managed school community as listed in the 2020-21 Student and Family Handbook and Employee Handbook, with the addition of the Telework Guidelines, developed in response to the COVID-19 global pandemic.
B. MVP GOALS
Continue students’ learning and our curricular objectives as appropriate as we may be required to move between on campus, hybrid, and remote learning.
Recognize that our daily teaching and learning must adapt to the different models in which we may find ourselves throughout the year in response to the COVID-19 pandemic.
Reimagine learning in new spaces to support our educational programs.
Provide a system of learning plans that allow for on campus instruction (Plan A), hybrid learning (Plan B), and fully remote learning (Plan C) through an accessible remote platform that is manageable for students, families (many of whom have students in multiple grades and/or other challenges), and faculty.
Maintain a strong sense of community and school culture, regardless of the type of learning plan in which we find ourselves.
Remain flexible as we move from one plan to another, given the current health and safety guidelines.
Ensure that everyone is safe, supported, engaged, and challenged.
