Ways to Give to Marymount

Annual Fund

For over 80 years, Marymount of Santa Barbara has been dedicated to academic excellence, moral development, and community service.  Support from the Marymount community is needed in order to continue providing high-quality education while maintaining our exceptional reputation and tradition.  The Annual Fund is devoted entirely to supporting the school’s annual operating budget.  Annual Fund contributions go directly to improving academics, athletics, science and technology, the arts, as well as improving our facilities, increasing faculty salaries, and helping deserving students and their families remain at Marymount by providing tuition assistance.  We would not be the outstanding school that we are without a successful Annual Fund campaign.

Head of School’s Club

The Annual Fund is the single most important and effective way one can contribute financially to Marymount.  Head of School’s Club members are among our most loyal and committed donors.  With a minimum gift of $2,500 to the Annual Fund to join as a member, levels of this committed group of supporters include benefactors who contribute $10,000 - $19,999 per year to founders who support Marymount with gifts of $20,000 or more each year.  Head of School’s Club supporters enjoy special invitations to gatherings with our Head of School and Board of Trustees along with a recognition gift and special recognition in the Marymount Annual Report.

The purpose of the Marymount Endowment Fund is to provide a permanent, reliable, and sustaining source of funding to support the educational mission of Marymount.  The fund consists of a general, unrestricted fund, one or more separate endowment funds established by the Board of Trustees for designated purpose, and one or more separate endowment funds established by third-party donors.  All endowment funds are held and invested in one common investment account.  Funds have a variety of purposes from providing a long-term source of funding for faculty salaries or professional development to tuition assistance for Marymount students who have demonstrated a financial need.

The Tea House Legacy Society (Planned Giving)

Planned giving is another option. Join Marymount's Tea House Legacy Society by including Marymount in your will and reduce estate taxes; establishing a charitable remainder trust or annuity; purchasing a life insurance policy naming Marymount as the beneficiary, or donating a home or other real estate to the school. The Tea House Legacy Society honors those who inform the school that Marymount is included in their estate plans. Many who care deeply about Marymount have found that thoughtfully structured planned gifts help them make meaningful contributions to Marymount while meeting personal planning goals as well. The Tea House Legacy Society is an invitation to enjoy the enduring satisfaction that comes from ensuring a bright future for Marymount.
